As we move closer to opening Pax House this September, several key pieces are now in place. Construction is nearing completion, our rooms are fully booked, and core programs and partnerships are taking shape. We are encouraged by the progress and grateful for the strong response from students and supporters. In the months ahead, our focus will turn to final preparations that will support a smooth and welcoming opening. Each step forward brings us closer to creating a residence where students can feel supported, connected, and at home.
Food Services at Pax House
Eating together is a meaningful part of the Pax House experience. Because most rooms do not include kitchens, our meal plans will provide students with consistent access to healthy, balanced meals while also creating a natural rhythm for the day and fostering connection through shared mealtimes. We have finalized Dana Hospitality Services as our food services partner for Pax House. With their experience in institutional and community-based dining, they are helping us develop a meal program that supports both quality food and the communal life of the residence; students are encouraged to share any allergies or dietary restrictions in advance as they will make every reasonable effort to accommodate a wide range of needs, including gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, vegetarian, vegan, and more, with a thoughtful and individualized approach to meal planning whenever possible.
Building Progress
Final work is underway across the building, and we are preparing spaces for student move-in and community life. Over the coming months, our focus will shift to furnishing, system setup, and operational readiness. This marks a significant step toward welcoming our first group of students. As the project moves into its final phase, each milestone brings Pax House closer to opening its doors on September 5. We are working carefully to ensure the residence is both functional and welcoming from day one. It is exciting to see the vision for Pax House taking shape in a tangible and meaningful way.
Pax Fellows Program
We are launching the Pax Fellows Program as part of our student life model. Pax Fellows will be student leaders who help shape the rhythms of the house, including community building, shared meals, and hospitality. This program will play a key role in establishing the culture of Pax House in its first year. Applications are in, and accepted Fellows will be announced soon.
Residence Status
All student rooms are now filled. Demand has exceeded available space, and placements for the upcoming year are complete. We will continue to manage a waitlist in case openings arise over the summer, and if you are interested in being notified, should we have room, we are happy to add you on our waitlist.
